a history of violence
A
History Of Violence is based on a graphic novel by John
Wagner and Vince Locke. The movie begins with family
man Tom Stall (Viggo Mortensen of Lord
of the Rings fame) defending himself and his restaurant
against a hold up. Stall is considered a hero by the
town and gets all kinds of media attention.
All the attention brings strange encounters
with people who claim that they know Stall from the
past, including mobsters who claim he use to work for
them. All of this makes Stall question his past, a past
that he does not remember well.
A History Of Violence stars Viggo Mortensen
and Golden Globe nominee Maria
Bello in a film directed by David Cronenberg.
