Jack Black may be one of the funniest people in entertainment right now. Not only is he a successful actor, he also fronts a band named Tenacious D.

He was born in Santa Monica, California and went to UCLA when it came time to go to school. It was during this time he joined the Tim Robbins' acting troupe that helped land him his early parts.

One of these parts was a short lived television show called Heat Vision and Jack, which was a Knight Rider parody directed by Ben Stiller. The show featured a talking motorcycle voiced by Owen Wilson.

His breakthrough performance was in High Fidelity, after this movie he starred in Orange County, Shallow Hal and his Golden Globe nominated performance in School of Rock.
