One of films best actors was born John Nicholson in 1937, he would
change his name to Jack when he started in show business. Jack Nicholson’s
father left the family early in Jack's life and he was raised by his grandmother and older sister. It was
not until Time magazine was doing a piece on the actor that he would find out his
older sister was actually his mother.
He is great friends with fellow actor Danny DeVito. The two grew
up together and their parents even shared ownership of a hair salon at one time.
Jack Nicholson found success in the movie industry during the 1960’s.
Between now and then Nicholson has been a part of some the best movies of all time.
He was in Chinatown, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining, As Good as It
Gets and the recently Something’s Gotta Give.
The performance in this film got Nicholson yet another Golden Globe
nomination. He starred in the movie with fellow nominee Diane Keaton.
