jeff daniels

After finishing school Jeff Daniels
traveled to New York to try to make a name for himself
in acting. His role on the 1982 play Johnny Got His
Gun earned him a Obie Award.
His first major role in a film was the
very successful Terms of Endearment and he later would
be in the Woody Allen
film The Purple Rose of Cairo.
Since then Daniels has had a very successful film
career, starring in films like Gettysburg. Speed, Dumb & Dumber
and the The Hours.
This year Daniels has starred in two successful
films. He appeared in George
Clooney's Golden Globe nominated film
Good Night, and Good Luck and had the lead role
in The Squid
and the Whale.
Daniel's role in The
Squid and the Whale has landed him a nomination
for this year's best actor Golden Globe.
