Jude Law was born on December 29, 1972 in London. Jude
Law’s acting career started off at an early age when
joined the National Youth Music Theatre at the age of 12.
When Jude turned 17 he got a job on a soap opera called Families and
dropped out of school to give acting a chance as a career. A couple years later Jude
became interested in the stage and started taking live theatre parts. He was in the
running for the Olivier Award of Outstanding Newcomer, he was working on the play
Indiscretions.
After this Jude made the trip over to America and starred on Broadway
with Kathleen Turner and was nominated for a Tony award for best supporting actor.
Jude Law wanted to try acting in film again and got a small part in the movie Gattaca
in 1997. Jude would take other bit parts until he was in Anthony Minghella's Talented Mr. Ripley,
which made him a movie star.
This year Jude Law is nominated as best actor in the film Cold Mountain. He starred with Nicole Kidman and Renée Zellweger in the film.
