This year’s winner of the Golden Globe for best drama picture is The Lord of the Rings: The Return Of the King.

The final Lord of the Rings movie takes viewers to the world of Middle Earth. Gollum now controlled by the ring’s power leads Frodo and Sam’s journey to destroy the ring. The War of the Ring reaches its climax as the dark lord Sauron sets his sights on Minas Tirith, the capital of Gondor. Everyone in the fellowship must join up again to once and for all to defend Middle Earth.

The Lord of the Rings movies were based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic books and brought to live to the screen by director Peter Jackson. The cast includes Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellen and Cate Blanchett.
