Lost in Translation is the story about Bob Harris (Bill Murray)
an aging actor past his prime who goes to Tokyo to do a television commercial.
While there he meets a young women named Charlotte (Scarlett Johannson), there
with her photographer husband.
They start to spend time together mostly out of boredom and begin to really like
each others company. While spending time with each other they realize that sooner
or later their time in Japan will end and they will need to go back to their normal
lives.
