Maria Bello’s plan of being a lawyer fell through after she was stung
by the acting bug while taking an acting class in her final year at Villanova
University.
She found that she was actually a pretty good actress and managed to
get roles in some off –Broadway plays. After flexing her acting muscles on stage Maria
Bello started to get guest roles in television shows like The Commish, Misery Loves
Company, Due South and ER.
Last year Bello was in The Cooler,
which earned the actress a nomination for best supporting
actress. She was in the film with fellow nominee Alec
Baldwin.
She is currently nominated for best actress
for her role in
A History of Violence.
