Master and Commander: The Far Side Of the World, stars Russell Crowe and takes place during the Napoleonic Wars.

Captain Jack Aubrey (Crowe)leads his crew to s naval battle against the French on the coast of the South America. The captain deals with the fact he had lost a battle to the French earlier in the war and deals with the personal vendetta Jack has against the French captain.

The film stars Russell Crowe and has a strong performance by Paul Bettany, who plays the captain’s friend and confidant. The film is directed by Golden Globe nominated director Peter Weir.
