It's the age-old story; after losing touch with his daughter, boxing trainer Frankie Dunn (played by Clint Eastwood) wont allow himself to get close to anybody. But when he meets Maggie Fitzgerald (played by Hilary Swank) and sees just how far she's gotten as a boxer on sheer talent and determination, he finally lets his guard down. Sometimes they hate each other, and sometimes they are the most important thing in the world to each other. Though the plot is a little on the predictable side, the performances of these three great actors (including fellow Golden Globe nominee Morgan Freeman) makes it a must-see, if only to get the bad taste of "Rocky 5" out of your mouth.
