After graduating with a degree in drama from New York
University's Tisch School of the Arts in 1982, Philip
Seymour Hoffman has had a very successful career
in film and stage.
Early roles in smaller independent films like Triple Bogey on a Par
Five Hole and My New Gun helped him land his role as Scotty J in Boogie Nights.
Since then Hoffman has appeared in Magnolia,
The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold
Mountain and many more successful films.
This year he stars as Truman Capote in
the film Capote, his performance has earned
him a lot of acclaim and a nomination for the Best Actor
in a Dramatic Role Golden Globe.
