the producers
 Based on the long-running
musical with the same name the Producers goes from the stage to the screen for this holiday season.
Set in New York in 1959 where successful stage producer named Max Bialystock (Lane)
has had some recent bad luck with his plays. Leo Bloom (Broderick), an accountant convinces
Bialystock to produce a flop and get a lot of backers and of course keep the profit when
the show fails.
They hire a very strange Roger De Bris to direct the play called Springtime
for Hitler. The audience reaction to the play surprises them all and the play becomes a hit.
The film stars Nathan
Lane, Matthew Broderick, Uma
Thurman and Will Ferrell.
With Lane and Ferrell up for Golden Globes this year.
