Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Church began his career as a radio DJ, and then as a voice-over announcer. It was after he landed a role in the indie film "Stolen Moments" that Church decided to finally move to Los Angeles and pursue an acting career.

He has since appeared in more than 20 films and numerous television shows, most notably as Wade on the long-running "Wings" alongside Steven Weber and Tony Shalhoub. He appears most recently in "Sideways" alongside Paul Giamatti and Virginia Madsen, and directed by Alexander Payne.
