virginia madsen

Virginia made her first film appearance in 1983's "Class,"
an infinitely forgettable movie, but made a big impact
on audiences as Princess Irulan in the sci-fi epic "Dune."
She once again captured moviegoers' hearts when she played
a Catholic school girl who falls in love with a boy in
a prison camp in "Fire With Fire," and was named
one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood the same
year.
Despite appearing in some less than fantastic
films ("Zombie High" and "Candyman"
spring to mind) she has appeared in more than 50 films
to date. But like many talented actors, she was born to
do it: her mother, Elaine Madsen, is an Emmy-winning writer
and producer, and her brother Michael Madsen has portrayed
some of film's most memorable characters.
"Sideways"
co-stars fellow Golden Globe nominees Paul
Giamatti and Thomas
Haden Church.
