Although his big break came in the classic comedy Fargo, William H.
Macy was in the movie industry before that.
Macy started off doing voice over work after he finished school.
He worked with different theater groups based in Chicago, he then moved to New York
do to more television and movie work.
He started to get some attention after he was in Fargo and
then Boogie Nights afterwards. In fact his agent purposely did not give Macy
the script for Boogie Nights thinking it would hurt his career. Macy got a copy of the script
and accepted the part.
Since then William H. Macy has been one of the busiest actors out
there. He is also married to Desperate Housewife star Felicity Huffman.
This year he is nominated for his supporting working in Seabiscuit.
